Geetai Mandir

He was instrumental in converting the idea of Geetai Mandir, proposed and conceptualized by the great visionary Mr. Kamalnayan Bajaj. The design involved successful and aesthetic translation of the idea of engraving Geetai verses in the profile of “A grazing Cow”.

The idea was conceptualised by Shri Kamalnayan Bajaj , who was a great visionary and Gandhian follower. It was an intent to record “The Geetai” , which is the commentary on the Bhagwat Gita in Marathi language, by Param poojyaniya Shri Vinobaji Bhave, which remains a living experience for generations to come.
In order to depict a sense of national unity & integration ,Geetai verses, numbering 714, were engraved on stones slabs, which were brought from different parts of India and arranged in a profile of a cow.. To maintain the continuity of the versus , a subway was created at the entrance to access the premises.
A unique entrance gate was designed and detailed which represented the chariot wheels, encapsulated by a architrave in the form of a “Pothi-stand “ or a “Holy book rest ” which as constructed with “ZERO” slump concrete , duly form finished , which was a novel idea. A mini model of the “Trishula” river of Nepal was created within the campus to add life within the premises and the excavated material was duped to resemble the Govardhan hillock added to the whole experience.
